FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining efficiency of detergents based on probiotics related to a new type of detergents. Proposed method comprises two steps. At the first stage, the exposure time is determined, during which the population contamination of the surface with the test microorganism is reduced by at least 90 %, by treating the test surface contaminated with the test microorganism, a detergent solution based on probiotics. Washings are taken from the surface at definite intervals and crops are sown to solid nutrient media. At the second stage, test-microorganism population is determined by contaminating the test surface daily for at least 14 days with a test microorganism. On the first day, a test microorganism suspension containing 2×109 CFU/ml, then daily on the surface is applied a suspension of test microorganism containing 106 CFU/ml, after complete drying is treated with detergent solution based on probiotics. After the exposure time defined at the first stage, test-microorganism contamination is determined on test surfaces. Results are compared with data obtained with similarly contaminated control surface treated with sterile water. Based on the results of the comparison, a judgment is made on the effectiveness of the detergent based on probiotics while reducing the population of the test microorganism by at least 99.99 % after 5–7 days from the beginning of the surface treatment. Method is safe and provides validity and accuracy of determination.
