SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for threshing corn cobs in breeding and primary seed production. The breeding unit comprises a threshing apparatus with two parallel rollers, one of which is used for threshing, a loading device located at the longitudinal side of one of the rollers, curvilinear protrusions. At the same time, the second roller is made for transporting cobs and is equipped with a coil for their movement and withdrawal from the threshing zone. Both rollers rotate in the same direction in the direction opposite to the direction of the ledge stop. The protrusions on the threshing roller are used to reduce the material consumption of the threshing roller in the longitudinal plane, due to the fact that the involute trajectory is flatter and, accordingly, the radius is smaller, are located in a spiral, and along a trajectory in the form of an involute in cross section. The ends of the protrusions are rounded to prevent damage to the grain, and between the protrusions there are longitudinal semicircular grooves in cross section with a size exceeding the average size of a corn grain, which eliminates the possibility of pinching corn grains between adjacent protrusions. The pressure plate is made of rigid reinforced elastic material to create the necessary pressing force, as well as its uniform distribution. At the same time, at the place of contact with the corn cob, the shield has a helical winding, similar to the winding of the transport roller, which helps to reduce energy costs for transporting the cob.

EFFECT: increase in the throughput of corn cobs and a decrease in damages to the corn breeding material during the threshing process.
