FIELD: shipbuilding engineering.
SUBSTANCE: devices for propelling yachts/vessels using wind power, convenient and safer for use in a wide range of weather conditions and especially in changeable weather. The mechanized wing-sail includes a base with a central section fixedly attached to it, to which, as well as to each other, the side sections are movably connected, the bending axes of which are configured to move along the driven channels of the base. A mechanism is made from the lower part of the base that drives the side sections along the driven channels of the base, and the entire wing structure is made with the ability to rotate relative to the vessel.
EFFECT: improving the ease of use of a ship driven by the wind, maintaining a minimum speed when storming, and increasing controllability in a wide range of weather conditions by increasing the accuracy of setting the angle of attack and wing curvature.
