FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of plants with a natural plant growth regulator. The method involves treating vegetative plants with a growth regulator isolated from woody greens using an emulsion extraction method without the use of organic solvents. As a growth regulator, the following is used: the plant growth regulator Verva-el obtained from spruce greenery with an active substance being natural phenolic compounds. To obtain the plant growth regulator Verva-el, an apparatus is used for emulsion extraction of plant raw materials, equipped with a filtration unit for uniform distribution of separated solid sediment, and pipes for conducting the process of filtering the drug under pressure. Treatment of plants is carried out three times in the phase of 2–4 true leaves, in the phase of mass flowering and 7 days after the second treatment with a drug consumption dose of 0.6–6.0 g/ha of the active substance, an aqueous solution with a concentration of 0.2·10^-4-2·10^-4 g/l.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase growth processes, sunflower yield, seed quality and oil content in seeds, reduce the incidence of plant diseases, while using an environmentally friendly preparation obtained in a simple affordable way to stimulate the growth and development of sunflower.
