FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: used in the production of liquefied natural gas at gas industry enterprises. A coiled heat exchanger including: a shell, a first bundle, a core, a plurality of tubes, a first and a second group of tube sheets, a plurality of valves, refrigerant distributors, tube bundle supports, tube separators, and coiled tubes of tube bundles of multiple heat exchanger zones of the same diameter; wherein fluid and refrigerant streams entering at different temperatures exit the plurality of tubes of the tube bundle at the same temperature.
EFFECT: developing a twisted heat exchanger that provides an equal heat transfer surface for all turns to equalize heat transfer across the layers of turns of tube bundles.
