SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which ensures stable operation of a multi-section cryogenic heat exchanger during daily changes in environmental climatic parameters, and can be used at gas processing plants located in various regions of the country or the world, regardless of the climate zone. A method for liquefying a hydrocarbon-rich fraction involves transferring an excess amount of a liquid phase, which is a middle mixed refrigerant, from a gas phase separation separator, which is a high-pressure mixed refrigerant, into a compressed refrigerant separation separator after the penultimate compression stage.
EFFECT: invention ensures stability of the operation of the liquefaction unit and the main cryogenic multi-section heat exchanger when the ambient temperature changes due to redistribution of refrigerant flows, guaranteeing safe operation of the separator.
