SUBSTANCE: used in the manufacture of fluorescent screens. In the method for manufacturing a fluorescent screen, a substrate of the fluorescent screen being manufactured is provided, which has an electrically conductive surface. Phosphor particles intended for deposition onto said substrate and an organic liquid are also provided. A dispersion is obtained in which phosphor particles are dispersed in an organic liquid in the presence of a charge-regulating substance that charges said phosphor particles with a positive net charge. In this case, a soluble aluminum salt is used as a charge-regulating substance. The substrate is immersed in this dispersion and a cataphoresis process is carried out, in which the phosphor particles charged in this dispersion are deposited onto the electrically conductive surface of the substrate. After the cataphoresis process, the substrate carrying the phosphor particles deposited during the cataphoresis process is removed from the dispersion and this substrate is electronically processed from the phosphor particles deposited onto it during the cataphoresis process.
EFFECT: reducing the amount of binder in the phosphor coating, ensuring a high degree of adhesion of the phosphor particles to each other and to the substrate.
