FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: screen is, essentially, mosaic structure that has dielectric emitting and electricity-conducting nonemitting components. Emitting components are made in the form of light-conducting pedestals. All remaining space of screen is filled with nonemitting conducting medium whose absorption coefficient relative to light-emitting medium is over 20%. Surfaces of pedestals may be coated with reflecting metal layer. Outer ends of pedestals may be coated with emitting phosphor layer whose thickness is at least order of magnitude smaller than height of pedestals; phosphor layer may be epitaxial relative to pedestals. EFFECT: improved thermal and electric conductivity and efficiency of screen due to better contrast and image transmission. 4 cl, 9 dwg
