FIELD: refrigeration technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to methods for accumulating cold, which can be used in air conditioning systems. A method of accumulating cold, which involves lowering the temperature of a mixture containing an aqueous solution of sodium chloride at a concentration of 2-3% by weight of the solution, and octafluorocyclobutane is used as an ice-forming component, the process is carried out at a pressure not higher than 120 kPa. The refrigerant is pre-throttled, dispersed and mixed with the solution in the ejector. Then the refrigerant and solution are throttled to a temperature of -1.7...-8°C, the refrigerant is evaporated in the ice accumulator to cool and crystallize the solution, stirring it with a directed stream of the mixture, and the resulting refrigerant vapours are fed upward through a layer of slush ice. Then the solution is returned to the ejector and mixed again with the throttled refrigerant, the cycle is closed.
EFFECT: energy consumption for cold storage is reduced and the dimensions of equipment are reduced.
