FIELD: refrigerating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refrigeration equipment and can be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Method of cold accumulation involves lowering the temperature of a mixture containing an aqueous solution of sodium chloride in concentration of 2–3 wt.%. Ice-forming component used is octafluorocyclobutane. Process is carried out at a pressure of not more than 105 kPa. After the throttling process, octafluorocyclobutane is fed into an aqueous solution of sodium chloride and intensively stirred; the obtained ice is accumulated. Cold accumulation device includes a crystallizer connected to a condenser and pumps, and a heat exchanger. Device is equipped with a compressor connected by a suction pipeline with a crystallizer, a cooler, an ice mixture supply pump, sodium chloride solution and liquid refrigerant and a sodium chloride solution supply pump, connected to a crystallizer and a storage tank, hydraulic cyclone installed on liquid line with expansion valve, equalizing line connecting storage tank and crystallizer, liquid separator on suction pipeline. Crystallizer is equipped with mixer.
EFFECT: reduction of energy consumption for cold accumulation and intensification of the process without using hazardous substances.
