FIELD: packaging.
SUBSTANCE: commercial tobacco product wrappers and packaging are provided that are capable of tightly enclosing commercial tobacco products and that are more environmentally friendly than conventional materials and packaging due to the use of less polymeric materials. This sheet-shaped wrapping material is intended to form packaging intended for commercial tobacco products. The wrapping material comprises a paper base layer comprising cellulosic fibrous material, an aluminium-comprising layer that is applied over the paper base layer, and a heat sealable layer that is formed as an outer layer on at least one side of the wrapping material and is a coating of a heat-sealing agent that heat seals edges of wrapping material together. The thickness of the heat-sealing layer ranges from 0.5 to 5 mcm.
EFFECT: increased tightness of packaging of tobacco products.
