FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: electrical engineering and electronics in shipbuilding used in ship demagnetization systems. The claimed power source for the demagnetization windings, containing a PWM converter, rectifier and inverter connected in series, as well as sensors for output current, output voltage and temperature of the cooling radiator, and an output current detector, is equipped with a controller, the connection of which with the demagnetization system control unit forms a noise-proof digital channel for remote control of the power source and monitoring of parameters collected by sensors, and a control and alarm unit based on a microprocessor, the connection of which with the controller forms a digital local control channel for quickly finding the causes of failures and eliminating them.
EFFECT: expanding the scope of technical means for powering the demagnetization windings, and also that the use of the claimed device makes it possible to increase the accuracy of setting the calculated value of the compensating current to the power source, to ensure the ability to operate the device without the constant presence of maintenance personnel and to increase the reliability of the power source.
