FIELD: production of granules.
SUBSTANCE: granulator press (2) contains a cylindrical outer wall (3) made with a number of radial through holes to ensure that the granules are pressed in the radial direction outward from the inner part of the press (2) towards the outer circular profile (5) of the granulator press (2). The device (1) for breaking off granules contains a plate located around the granulator press (2) at a predetermined distance from the outer circular profile (5). The plate contains a number of longitudinal cuts that allow the granules to exit out of the press granulator (2). Longitudinal cuts cover at least part of the outer circular profile (5) of the granulator press (2) along the area, which is made with through holes. The longitudinal cuts are made in the form of two rows with a mirror image of the orientation directions facing each other. The cut-outs facing each other with different orientation directions are located at an angle between them ranging from 60 to 80°.
EFFECT: fine fraction content is reduced and the quality of the granules is improved.
