FIELD: composites.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalytic composite for hydrocarbon conversion, as well as to a method of converting hydrocarbons. The composite comprises a first component selected from Group VIII noble metals and combinations thereof, a second component selected from one or more alkali and alkaline earth metal components, and a third component selected from one or more of the following: tin, germanium, lead, indium, gallium and thallium. Each of these components is deposited on an alumina support containing delta alumina. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the aluminium oxide substrate contains at least three Bragg peaks (2θ) between angles 32.0° and 70.0°, namely: the first Bragg peak (2θ) at position 32.7°±0.4°, second Bragg peak (2θ) at position 50.8°±0.4° and the third Bragg peak (2θ) at position 66.7°±0.8°). The intensity of the second Bragg peak (2θ) is less than 0.06 of the intensity of the third Bragg peak (2θ).
EFFECT: increase in the activity and stability of the catalytic composite.
