SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to a position indicating device for indicating the movement of a section of a load-bearing element that is movable relative to a stationary portion, in particular a spring or rigid suspension, damper, vibration damper and/or hinge post, a load-bearing element containing an indication device, and its use, including a mechanical motion transmission device for transmitting motion of the movable portion of the load-bearing element; an indicating device for connecting to the motion transmission device and for indicating the movement of the movable portion of the supporting element. Moreover, the display device has a hollow cylinder and a gripper mounted movably in the hollow cylinder and connected relative to movement to the motion transmission device, wherein the hollow cylinder has a longitudinal slot in which a transverse pin extends, moving together with the gripper and extending radially outward, which is designed to move one extreme value indicator located radially outside the hollow cylinder.

EFFECT: improvement in the functionality of position indicating devices for indicating the position of the movable section of the load-bearing element, and a reduction in the structural size of the device.
