FIELD: microwave technology.
SUBSTANCE: device for adding the powers of the Nth (more than 3) number of generators on magnetrons, consisting of a resonator in the form of a section of a rectangular waveguide, the magnetrons on which are located next to each other on the wide wall of the resonator so that the outputs of the magnetron energy enter the resonator through the middle of the wide walls. Short-circuiting selection inserts are symmetrically installed between the magnetron energy outputs inside the resonator. In another wide wall of the resonator, opposite each magnetron, there are radiating slots for outputting energy into the surrounding space. The size of the wide wall of the resonator is equal to half the wavelength corresponding to the operating frequency of the magnetrons. The rectangular waveguide is rolled into a torus along a wide wall so that the magnetrons are located on the outer side of the torus, the radiating slits are on the inside of the torus. There are no end walls if the device uses an even number of magnetrons, or there remains one partition between any two sectors if an odd number of magnetrons is used. The internal diameter of the torus is a multiple of an odd number of half wavelengths. A group of even generators and a group of odd generators are powered in antiphase, or the operation of each group is spaced in time using pulse-width modulation along the power supply.
EFFECT: reduction in weight and size characteristics, ease of control, maintenance and technological application.
