FIELD: firefighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: personal protective equipment for a firefighter, designed to increase safety when extinguishing a fire, it concerns an element of combat clothing - a helmet, in which, when the temperature rises, a cooling system is activated in the space between the helmet body and the internal equipment, which improves safety firefighter's work. The firefighter's helmet cooling system, mounted in the space between the inner surface of the helmet body and its internal equipment, contains a container with liquid coolant (1), copper capillary tubes in the form of a short part (4), connected through a tap (2) to the container (1), and the main working part in the form of a spiral. In the connector between the parts system for automatic control of the flow rate of refrigerant vapors (5) is mounted, which contains a piece of flexible polyamide tube (8) passed between the turns of two springs (6) made of shape memory material. Copper and polyamide tubes are connected by tension connection, and the ends of the springs (6) are attached to copper support plates (7, 9), one of which is connected to the helmet body.
EFFECT: implementing a method for cooling a firefighter's helmet through the use of a cooling system located in the space between the inner surface of the helmet body and its internal equipment and triggered when the temperature inside the helmet increases, which increases the safety of firefighters in firefighting conditions.
