FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method for separating and isolating boron trifluoride and its complexes in an olefin polymerization reaction. First, the mixture obtained in the olefin polymerization reaction is treated by flash distillation to separate part of the boron trifluoride gas. Then the liquid phase obtained after flash distillation is treated by membrane separation to obtain complexes of boron trifluoride and crude olefin polymerization reaction product. Finally, the crude olefin polymerization reaction product obtained in the previous step is treated by gas stripping to separate the remaining boron trifluoride gas, thereby obtaining a pure olefin polymerization reaction product.

EFFECT: proposed approach makes it possible to achieve effective separation of boron trifluoride and its complexes from intermediate polymerization products.
