FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: used in liquid cooling systems of rotary piston internal combustion engines. The rotor cooling system (1) of a rotary piston internal combustion engine contains channels for supplying coolant to the rotor housing (1), communicating at the inlet with channels in the eccentric shaft (5) and a rotor cooling cavity made in the rotor housing (1). The outlets of the channels for supplying coolant to the rotor housing (1) are connected to the rotor cooling cavity. There are channels for draining coolant from the rotor housing (1). The coolant supply channels are made in the form of tubes (2) installed inside the rotor (1), the shape and exit of which into the cooling cavity of the rotor ensure the supply of coolant to the inner surfaces of the side walls of the rotor (1). The channels for draining coolant from the rotor housing are made in the form of holes in the end walls of the rotor housing (1), allowing the coolant to be discharged towards the eccentric shaft (5). An embodiment of the rotor cooling system of a rotary piston internal combustion engine is disclosed.
EFFECT: increasing the cooling efficiency of the rotor due to forced circulation or pumping of coolant along the side and end walls of the rotor.
