FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: autonomous tractor (1) for autonomously crossing farm land contains one or more sensors for detecting an obstacle when crossing agricultural land, and a central processing unit (CPU) for receiving input signals from one or more sensors and for controlling the movement of the tractor (1) based on the input signals , in order to avoid an obstacle, a hitch for coupling an agricultural machine selected from a group of agricultural machines, each of which is configured to couple with a tractor, and each of which contains one or more additional sensors for detecting the obstacle. The agricultural machine clutch comprises operatively connecting one or more additional sensors to a CPU and automatically providing data to the CPU regarding the location of each of the one or more additional sensors on the agricultural machine and one or more specifications of each of the one or more additional sensors. When detecting an agricultural machine, the CPU is configured to turn off the tractor sensors (1) to prevent the detected agricultural machine from continuously being seen as a regular obstacle. The method for cultivating agricultural land includes a step in which farm land is autonomously crossed using the specified autonomous tractor (1).
EFFECT: provides improvements to autonomous tractors for crossing farm land.
