FIELD: electron-vacuum devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of cathodoluminescent screens of electron-optical converters. The cathodoluminescent screen comprises a transparent substrate and a cathodoluminescent phosphor layer formed on the surface of said transparent substrate. A thin coating is formed on top of the cathodoluminophore layer, which comprises a first passivation layer, a first aluminium layer and a second passivation layer located in the direction from the cathodoluminophore layer in the specified sequence. Also, the cathodoluminescent screen comprises a second layer of aluminium, which is formed on top of the mentioned thin coating. Said thin coating and the second layer of aluminium are formed by vacuum deposition. A thin coating is formed by vacuum deposition on top of a temporary film of organic material, previously applied to a layer of cathodoluminophor and subjected to thermal decomposition after the formation of the said thin coating on it.
EFFECT: improvement in the purity of the field of view, an increase in the brightness of the glow and an increase in the value of the frequency-contrast characteristic of the cathodoluminescent screen, as well as an increase in the value of the frequency-contrast characteristic of the electron-optical converter in which the cathodoluminescent screen is used.
