FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: screen consists of a transparent substrate (glass, celluloid etc) on which layers of X-ray sensitive phosphor, organic and metal films are successively deposited. Between the layer of phosphor and the metal film there is a thin organic film which, together with the metal layer, provides "mirror" (reverse) reflection of light radiation of the phosphor and also prevents poisoning of the phosphor with metal during vacuum sputtering thereof and oxidation of the surface of the metal film in the contact area.
