FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: devices for converting the kinetic energy of underwater sea currents into electricity. The device contains an electrical energy generator, with which, through a transmission device, parachute sails inserted into the flow in the direction of its movement are connected, main and auxiliary wheels, between which a cable passing through the parachute sails is stretched. The cable has clamps rigidly attached to it at equal distances, to which parachute sails are attached on one side in the direction of the current and ensuring movement of the cable. The wheels are made in the form of a rim with a longitudinal slot designed for temporary retraction, rotation inside the rim and exit of the parachute sail from the rim. The wheels are installed at a distance that allows the parachute sails to deploy, pull and roll-up. Each parachute sail contains an opening degree limiter. The longitudinal slot of the rim is made to extend along its entire outer circumference. The auxiliary wheel contains stabilizers for its position. The wheels are designed to be immersed in a water current with a rim depth of at least three times the diameter of the folded domes. The transmission device is made in the form of a trunk or flexible transmission.
EFFECT: simplifying the design of the device, increasing its mobility and durability.
