SUBSTANCE: used in the manufacture of household or automotive radiators. When implementing the method for manufacturing a radiator, cellular aluminum profiles are mechanically processed on transverse planing or longitudinal planing machines with their further assembly and laser welding with collectors. When machining profiles on straight planes, a cutter is used that makes it possible to form fins of cellular profiles, creating a configuration of cooling plates that thicken towards the base, and the cutter consists of a rod, in the middle part of which a hole is mounted for fixing it in the machine support, and a metal plate of a parallelogram shape, one of the sides of which is cutting, and also uses gripping jaws that provide fixation of several cellular profiles during their machining.

EFFECT: increased heat transfer properties of the radiator, which ensures moisture resistance, heat resistance, vibration resistance, environmental friendliness, as well as reduced labor intensity and increased safety of cellular profile blanks during their machining.
