GREENHOUSE LIGHTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A01G9/14

Abstract RU 2811128 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling operating modes of lighting equipment in industrial greenhouses with mixed (hybrid) types of light sources. The method consists in the fact that information about the current state of illumination comes from light sensors to a control device, which compares it against the value of illumination that is optimal for the given period of time, the crop being grown and the phase of its development, determines the adjustments necessary to bring the value of the current illumination (irradiance) in accordance with the optimal value for the given period of time, and sends the appropriate instructions for adjustments to the actuators. In this case, illumination is set in accordance with the phases of dawn, daylight and the phase of sundown (sunset) using a set of high-pressure sodium lamps (HPSL) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), the luminous flux of which in total corresponds to the illumination optimal for the crop grown in the greenhouse. Lighting corresponding to the dawn phase begins by turning on the LED, gradually increasing the illumination from 0 to ≤50% of the required illumination for the crop grown in the greenhouse by increasing the LED power within of time t1, where time t1 is the duration of dawn time. After that, the HPSL are turned on, while at the same time LED power is reduced to 0. LED power is then gradually increased again from 0 to providing 50% of the required illumination for the greenhouse crop by increasing LED power over of time t1. At the same time, the total power of LEDs and HPSLs provides the optimal illumination value for the given period of time, the crop being grown, and the phase of its development. Next, the set illumination is maintained for time t2 corresponding to the duration of the day phase. Then they go into the phase of simulating sundown (sunset), first reducing LED power to 0 for of time t3, which is the duration of sunset time. Next, the HPSLs are simultaneously turned off and the LEDs are turned on at the power that provides 50% of the specified illumination, after which it is reduced to 0 within of time t3.

EFFECT: invention ensures illumination of plants that corresponds to natural light cycles using artificial light sources, including dawn/sunset modes, at the specified time of year while optimizing lighting costs.
