FIELD: energy systems.

SUBSTANCE: system for converting the mechanical energy of moving vehicles into electricity for light marking of highways contains a converter, an electricity generator and an electricity storage device. The converter consists of an elongated elastic force element with a convex upper part and a flat lower part, located perpendicular to the movement of vehicles across the road surface and fixed to the road surface. Inside the power element there is a channel filled with non-freezing liquid. The channel is connected to an electrodynamic or piezoelectric generator. The electromagnetic coil of the electrodynamic generator or the piezoelectric element of the piezoelectric generator is connected through an AC rectifier to an electrical energy storage device. The control and switching unit supplies electricity from the electrical energy storage device to road lighting devices based on signals from light sensors and moving vehicle detection sensors.
