FIELD: railroad engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of materials by cutting and can be used to restore the contours of rails at the installation site using a combined tool. The cutting tool includes a cutting plate assembly connected to the driving device, and a cutting tool located on the cutting plate assembly for processing of various areas on both sides of the centreline of the surface of the top part of the rail.
EFFECT: vibrations are reduced, the process of setting up and adjusting the tool is simplified, and work efficiency at the installation site is increased.
