SUBSTANCE: used in the development of incubators and modes of artificial incubation of bird eggs. The method for measuring the temperature regime of natural incubation of birds' eggs is characterized by a sequence of operations performed in a bird's nest over a dummy of a bird's egg with thermal sensors attached to the dummy, from which temperature readings are taken, the temperature process of natural incubation is simulated and used in the artificial incubation of bird eggs. In this case, a dummy is used with four thermal sensors attached to the dummy flush with the surface. The sensors are placed along the small radius line of the dummy, and the dummy is placed in the nest of the brooding bird in such a way that the hen, with her body and plumage, overlaps the outer contour of the dummy on its upper side. When the hen's body is positioned on the dummy and the dummy is rotated by the hen around its longitudinal axis, thermal sensors receive data on changes in the temperature of the hen's body and the surface of the nest, as well as on the air temperature in the nest from sensors that are not in contact with the body of the hen and the surface of the nest. The temperature data received from the sensors is recorded on a remote server; the temperature data is read and recorded continuously during the average incubation period for a particular bird species.

EFFECT: obtaining sufficient information about the temperature, taking into account the presence of a thermal gradient, mode of natural incubation for simulating in incubator conditions.
