SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a chewable tablet for the treatment of venous insufficiency or hemorrhoidal crisis and a method of its preparation. A pharmaceutical composition in the form of a chewable tablet for the treatment of venous insufficiency or hemorrhoidal crisis contains 1,000 mg of micronized diosmin as an active substance, and: d₅₀ of micronized diosmin is less than 5 μm; the composition contains at least one polyol, the composition contains from 30 wt.% to 60 wt.% micronized diosmin based on the total weight of the composition. The method of producing the pharmaceutical composition is a wet granulation, dry granulation or direct compression method.

EFFECT: above-described group of inventions makes it possible to obtain a pharmaceutical composition containing a high dose of micronized active substance with mechanical properties that help to avoid the phenomena of splitting and fragility, and at the same time having sufficient flowability allowing to produce the said composition.
