The result is achieved in that after playback of the at least one source video file begins, in response to a first user operation, the electronic device adjusts the refresh rate of the display of the electronic device based on three factors, namely, the value of the first frame rate for the at least one source video file, currently playing, the playback status for each source video file, and whether the interaction operation was accepted.
