FIELD: heat sealing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat sealing of heat sealable film material. A sealing system has been proposed for heat sealing superimposed walls of heat sealable film material, for example, in the manufacture of bags. The sealing system comprises two or more sealing stations arranged in series along a straight path for superimposed walls protruding from the loading section. Each sealing station includes a sealing device with the first and the second jaws and a drive device for causing the jaws to move between an opening position and a clamping position. Each sealing device includes a movement device configured to cause the first and the second jaws to move synchronously with the superimposed walls when they are clamped between the first and the second jaws. Each sealing station has a cooling device configured to continuously cool at least one of the jaws. At least each first jaw contains, next to its corresponding front surface, at least one pulse-heated element, configured as a current-receiving element, which extends along the corresponding front surface. Each sealing station is designed to perform an integrated pulse sealing and cooling cycle.

EFFECT: group of inventions improves the quality of the products obtained.
