SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insecticidal composition, a bait in the form of a gel for combating crawling insects. The gel-like insecticidal composition contains as an insecticidal substance fipronil, imidacloprid, clothianidin, spinosad, indoxacarb, abamectin or a mixture thereof, a thickener nanodispersed pyrogenic silicon dioxide, a synergist piperonyl butoxide, a food attractant, a preservative sorbic acid and a solvent in the following ratio of components, wt.%: 0.000001–0.3 of insecticidal substance, 1.0–8.0 of nanodispersed pyrogenic silicon dioxide, 0.01–5.0 of synergist, 8.0–70.0 of food attractant, 0.1–1.0 of preservative, and 10–70 of solvent. The gel-like insecticidal composition is used in plastic insecticidal traps. A gel-like insecticidal composition and an insecticidal agent based on it are used to combat synanthropic harmful insects from the order of cockroaches (Blattaria).

EFFECT: proposed gel-like insecticidal composition is highly effective and fast-acting, has a long-lasting insecticidal effect, and is resistant to drying out.
