FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the correction of kyphotic deformity. A needle with a diameter of 3 mm is inserted in the frontal plane through the metaepiphysis of the proximal end of the tibia and 2 cm below the knee joint, and it is fixed on the first half-ring of the external fixation device. The second half-ring is attached to the first half-ring by means of a hinge assembly. A beam with a threaded rod is attached distally to the second half-ring. Through the distal hole of the attached beam, a threaded rod with a diameter of 6 mm is inserted into the distal metaepiphysis of the tibia of the sagittal plane from the front. At the same level, a needle with a diameter of 3 mm is inserted along the lateral surface in the frontal plane through both tibias, passing it in a cantilever manner inside the fibula. At the level of the second half-ring along the medial surface in the frontal plane, a rod with a diameter of 6 mm is inserted into the diaphysis of the tibia and fixed to the second half-ring. At the level of the first half-ring in the sagittal plane, two wires with a diameter of 3 mm are cantilevered into the metaepiphysis of the tibia and fixed to the first half-ring. The hinge units of the external fixation device are separated and at the level of the proximal metadiaphysis of the tibia, 3 cm below the proximal half-ring, a corticotomy is performed with a chisel through a 1.0 cm incision, after which the first and second half-rings are fixed again. One cosmetic suture is applied and all structural elements are stabilized.

EFFECT: method ensures faster recovery of the legs after correcting their shape due to the peculiarities of the fixation.
