FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical methods of analysis intended to determine the electrical conductivity of conductors of the second type of small cross-section (small holes, capillaries, micro- and nanopores), and can be used in industry in the analysis of solutions, for monitoring environmental objects, determining the structure of biological molecules (electrochemical sequencing of DNA) and synthetic polymers, analysis of other objects, especially in continuous and automatic measurements, as well as for conductometric detection in ion chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. In accordance with the claimed invention, the method includes measuring the electromigration current of ions at a constant potential of the working electrode, at which the concentration polarization is zero, while the circuit of the electrochemical cell is periodically interrupted and a current directly proportional to the resistance of the test solution is measured.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of measuring the migration current, as well as the resistance and electrical conductivity associated with it by Ohm's law, due to no interference in the form of the charging current of the double electrical layer and geometric capacitance.
