FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: new method for producing benzyldimethyl[3-(myristoylamino)propyl]ammonium chloride monohydrate C26H47ClN2O⋅H2O, which can be used in production of medicinal, disinfectant and cosmetic preparations with an antiseptic effect. The proposed method is carried out by reacting myristic acid with 3-dimethylaminopropylamine, followed by direct benzylation. The method is characterized by the fact that it eliminates the use of aromatic solvents at all stages and preliminary purification of the starting components. In this case, the stage of interaction of myristic acid with 3-dimethylaminopropylamine is carried out in a melt at a temperature of 130-190°C without the use of a solvent followed by cooling until solidified and grinding the solidified intermediate product, which is purified by suspension in a solvent while cooling and then benzylated with benzyl chloride to obtain the final product, while the purification step of the final product eliminates the use of a sorbent.
EFFECT: method ensures production of the final product without the use of aromatic solvents, without a preliminary stage of purification and final purification using an adsorbent and allows to improve the quality of the final product.
