FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing benzyldimethyl[3-(stearinoylamino)propyl] ammonium chloride, which consists of reacting thearic acid with 3-dimethylaminopropylamine by boiling in an aromatic hydrocarbon medium, followed by distillation of the solvent, followed by recrystallization at using ethyl acetate, optionally by drying, to obtain 3,3-Dimethylaminopropylamide stearic acid and its subsequent quaternization with benzyl chloride at boiling and preliminary dissolution of 3,3-dimethylaminopropylamide of stearic acid in ethyl acetate, distillation of the solvent, recrystallization with ethyl acetate, optionally by drying.
EFFECT: development of an accessible and effective method of producing benzyldimethyl[3-(stearinoylamino)propyl] ammonium chloride.
