SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for producing a biodegradable anti-wear lubricating additive for diesel fuel with low sulfur content. The invention relates to a method for producing a lubricating additive for diesel fuel and involves carrying out the esterification reaction of carboxylic acids with alcohol in the presence of a catalyst at a temperature of 60-120°C for 60-120 minutes. In this case, tall oil fatty acids are used as carboxylic acids, butyl alcohol of normal structure (n-butanol) is used as an alcohol, and an ion exchange resin is used as a catalyst in an amount of 3-5 wt.% relative to the content of the specified carboxylic acid, and tetrabutoxytitanium in an amount of 0.05-0.5 wt.% relative to the specified carboxylic acid.
EFFECT: improvement in the lubricity of diesel fuels with low sulfur content.
