FIELD: measuring technology; electrical power; electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as part of a device for selectively determining a damaged connection and the distance from the substation to the location of a single-phase ground fault in 6-35 kV distribution networks. Essence: a high-frequency signal (HFS) sensor is installed at each phase of outgoing power lines. The HFS contains a power supply, a high-frequency current transformer, a scale amplifier, a high-frequency filter, a high-frequency alternating voltage to direct voltage converter, and an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). The ADC is connected to a processing and control unit, which controls the processes of measuring a high-frequency signal, receiving and transmitting information about a damaged outgoing line and the distance to the location of a single-phase ground fault via a radio channel through a radio module to the node control unit. The core of the high-frequency transformer is made of ferrite. In this case, a load inductance is provided to prevent the core from entering a saturation state.
EFFECT: ability to remotely determine an outgoing line with a single-phase ground fault and the distance to the location of the fault as part of a device for selectively determining a damaged connection and the distance from the substation to the location of the single-phase ground fault in various types of power lines (overhead, cable, combined) of 6-35 kV distribution networks, ensuring the possibility of transmitting information via a radio channel and eliminating the transition of the core of a high-frequency UHF transformer into a saturation state.
