METHOD FOR DETERMINING POSITION AND DISTANCE FOR ONE-PHASED GROUNDING SPOT IN ELECTRIC NETWORKS OF 6-35 kV WITH ISOLATED OR COMPENSATED NEUTRAL Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01R31/08

Abstract RU 2293342 C2

FIELD: electric engineering, namely methods for determining location of damages in 6-35 kV networks with isolated or compensated neutral.

SUBSTANCE: ballast resistor is connected to reserve cell of section of buses frequency distribution device with grounding present. Ammeter is connected to same phase of current circuits of secondary commutation of reserve cell. Connected to current chains of secondary phase commutation, wherein grounding is present, are input and loaded branching cells of buses section of device for visual recording of current leaps. High voltage switch is engaged for reserve cell, providing passage through ballast resistance of two-phased shorting current of limited value and duration. During enabling, indication of devices for visual indication of current leaps are tracked. On basis of presence or absence of leaps in visual recording devices, short circuit section is found. On basis of ammeter indication, one-phased grounding section distance is determined.

EFFECT: fast and highly precise detection of spot (section of distributing network) and grounding spot distance in electric networks without heir disabling and without decrease of load of consumers.
