NODE CONTROL UNIT FOR SELECTIVE IDENTIFICATION OF DAMAGED CONNECTION AND DISTANCE FROM SUBSTATION TO PLACE OF SINGLE-PHASE EARTH FAULT IN 6-35 kV DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01R31/08

Abstract RU 2809032 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: node control unit of the device for selectively identifying the damaged connection and the distance from the substation to the place of occurrence of a single-phase ground fault in 6-35 kV distribution networks consists of a single block module, which contains modules for input-output information, correction time and location identification, communication with upper-level information systems connected to a high-frequency generator, the voltage of which is supplied through a power amplifier to a high-frequency inductor, a radio module for wireless information exchange of the node control unit with high-frequency sensors and a power supply. The high-frequency generator is configured to generate signals with a frequency varying in the range of 1-10 kHz to identify a damaged outgoing line and in the range of 10-100 kHz to identify the distance from the substation to the fault location when scanning a damaged outgoing line.

EFFECT: ensuring identification of an outgoing line with a single-phase ground fault and the distance from the substation to the location of the fault without disconnecting the damaged outgoing line from the network.
