FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in devices designed to purify air entering the compressor of a gas turbine unit. The air purifying device includes air inlet (1), air distributors (2), gas-permeable deformable surface (3) with reciprocating drive (5) located sequentially along the air flow, controlled by automated system (6). The device is equipped with cable (4) and a drainage system. As ice accumulates on gas-permeable deformable surface (3), automated system (6) is configured to turn on drive (5) and drive gas-permeable deformable surface (3) through cable (4) to clear the accumulated ice. The drainage system is designed to remove fallen ice. Gas-permeable deformable surface (3) is a mesh made of either non-woven material, or pliable metal, or a composite material.
EFFECT: reduced aerodynamic resistance of the system while simultaneously simplifying and lightening the design.
