FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system of a linear proton accelerator for irradiation of tissue. In the system, there are two different radio-frequency sources. The first or primary source of radio-frequency energy is made, first of all, for provision of radio-frequency accelerating pulses, the second or secondary source of radio-frequency energy is made, first of all, for provision of radio-frequency compensation pulses. Each radio-frequency source is independently controlled, providing a possibility of achievement of higher frequencies of radio-frequency pulses to a resonator, maintaining shorter time between energy pulses of a proton bundle. In addition, the accelerator system also contains a radio-frequency connector for transmission of radio-frequency from the first and/or the second source of radio-frequency energy to the specified at least one resonator.
EFFECT: creation of a system of a linear proton accelerator for irradiation of tissue with improved control of bundle energy with reduction in time of stabilization of a resonator from minutes to less than 10 seconds.
