SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ion acceleration agents for the therapy of atrial fibrillation (AF), arteriovenous malformations (AVMS), and focal epileptic disorders. System (12) consists of source (1) of ion pulses, pre-accelerator (3) and one or more linear accelerators or linacs (5, 6, 7) operating at frequencies greater than 1 GHz, with a repetition rate of 1 Hz to 500 Hz. In a particle beam emerging from complex (12), the following values can vary: (I) intensity (when ions act on the source (1)), (II) depth of penetration (by independent adjustment of radio frequency electric power sources for the accelerator blocks of the linacs) and (III) transversely with respect to the central direction of the beam (by changing the currents in the coils of two orthogonal scanning magnets located in front of the patient).

EFFECT: possibility of adjusting for a few milliseconds and in three orthogonal directions the places of each energy input in the patient's body, which makes it possible to irradiate the beating heart.
