SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent downhole equipment from falling onto the bottom of a well. The device includes a hollow body and a lower coupling, lowered into a well consisting of a main production string and an additional production string that does not reach the wellhead, designed to be placed inside the main production string above the additional production string. The diameter of the additional string is less than the diameter of the main production string. The housing is equipped with an upper perforated pipe, configured to connect to downhole equipment, and a lower perforated pipe, installed above the coupling. On the outside of the housing, between the perforated nozzles, there are two self-sealing cuffs that pass from top to bottom, and on the inside there is a jumper with a spring-loaded check valve that opens when the pressure drop created by the downhole pumping equipment, and a bypass hole that ensures a drop speed of the downhole equipment of no more than 1 m/s during the passage of well fluid through it. The coupling at the bottom is equipped with an annular damper, above which there are radial flow holes.

EFFECT: falling speed of the equipment is reduced to an acceptable level, and the impact of the coupling on the additional production string is softened.
