FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes placement of a pump unit in the well containing a pipe string, a rod string, two packers, two pumps at that the upper pump is a sucker-rod pump and the lower pump is a submersible one with an electric motor and a cable; start-up of the well and its operation. At that the lower by-pass valves, the lower packer and a safety unit are connected, a telescopic joint without a hollow flexible rod is fixed to the pipe string, then the upper by-pass valves are connected to the installation, then the hollow flexible rod is run-in into the telescopic joint and pipes of less diameter are screwed into it. The pipes are fitted and the string of pipes with less diameter is connected with a cross-over coupling or crossover shoe installed in the perforated pipe; the upper packer is connected; on-off tool is mounted; the installation assembled at the pipe string is run in into the set interval until packers are transferred into an operating position; disconnection is made in the on-off tool and the pipe string is run out. Then the recoverable part of the on-off tool, the submersible pump inside the housing and a set of a by-pass line are run in into the well at the pipe string; the remaining and recoverable parts of the on-off tool are matched and the sucker-rod pump is run in.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of well operation.
