FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: technology for restoration of cast iron radiators used to heat rooms in central heating systems. The method includes heat treatment after disassembling the radiator by heating up to 850 °C for up to 5 hours, followed by cooling or sandblasting, or ultrasonic or chemical treatment. After cleaning, the sections are hydrowashed using a pressure unit for up to 300 bar, followed by pressure testing in the form of a pneumatic test for up to 25 atm of each section on the machine, galvanic coating is applied, a primer is applied by immersion in a paint bath or by spray gun application with final application of a nano-sized antimicrobial coating on the internal and external surfaces of the section, the assembly of radiators from the restored sections is carried out on cast iron or steel nipples with intersectional gaskets, followed by pressure testing with compressed air under the pressure of up to 25 atm and immersion in a pressure testing bath with water.
EFFECT: safety of the nipples and durability of the heating system, as well as resistance to corrosion and manifestation of antimicrobial properties.
