FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of potassium chloride from hydromineral raw materials of the calcium chloride type, also enriched with sodium and magnesium, namely from brine containing potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium chlorides. Concentration of the initial brine is carried out to a concentration of 1.6–5.0 wt.% of KCl, 1.3–18.5 wt.% of NaCl, 5.1–7.0 wt.% of MgCl2, 24.5–47.2 wt.% of CaCl2. The concentrated brine is cooled to precipitate crude crystalline material in the form of carnallite, calcium chloride, sodium chloride and potassium chloride. The crystalline material is washed from calcium chloride and magnesium chloride. The potassium chloride contained in the crystalline material is dissolved in a hot solvent, then the potassium-saturated solution is cooled, followed by precipitation and filtration of potassium chloride crystals washed with fresh water and filtered.
EFFECT: increasing the yield of the target product, increasing the purity of the final product, and also isolation of related products.
