SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technical field of transferring virtual machines, in particular to a method and a device for cross-cloud transfer of a virtual machine, as well as to a data carrier and an electronic device. Technical result is achieved due to creation on target cloud platform of target virtual machine for transfer, wherein the configuration information of the target virtual machine is matched with the configuration information of the source virtual machine on the source cloud platform, group of network ports of a target virtual machine is configured as a group of network ports of a target cloud platform, and the disk repository of the target virtual machine is configured as the disk repository of the target cloud platform; and alternately transferring file nodes in accordance with the structure of the disk file chain of the source virtual machine on the source cloud platform to the disk repository of the target virtual machine on the target cloud platform through network copying.

EFFECT: enabling transfer of a virtual machine from one cloud platform to another without changing the structure of the chain of disk files of the virtual machine itself.
