SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of magnetometric exploration, in particular to the combined, namely aeromagnetic and ground, magnetic gradient survey of large areas to search for the optimal installation location of the absolute and variometric pavilions of the magnetic observatory. Method for determining the location of the magnetic observatory on the territory of the investigated deposit, according to which aerial photography of the selected area is carried out, two-stage aeromagnetic survey is carried out and a site is selected for further two-stage ground magnetic survey, according to the results of which the optimal places for construction of the absolute and variometric pavilions of the magnetic observatory are determined.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of combined magnetometric survey, as well as reduced time for combined survey due to use of UAV.
