FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of measuring vector components of the Earth's magnetic field from an aerial vehicle using two three-component vector magnetometers mounted on an aircraft on its tail or a removable tail cone, at a maximum possible distance from interference of the aircraft. Aircraft tilt adjustments are made based on relationships between random functions of each of the components and differences of two other components. The method enables to take into account as null approximation, any other aircraft tilt measurements and estimate the reliability of said data based on correlation of the rest of fluctuations of one component with two other differences of two other components.
EFFECT: high accuracy of exploration data.
